About The Position
Under the supervision of the Chief and Deputy Fire Chief, the incumbent is responsible for enforcing federal, state and tribal mandated fire safety laws and related codes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
- One to three years' experience as a certified fire inspector required
- CT Fire Marshall Certification required
- CT, EMT/NREMT, FF-2, CDL or Q Driver’s license, or other states equivalent
- Must have a current Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) or pass the fire department’s physical agility test within one year.
Nice To Haves
- Candidate must obtain necessary certifications within first year of hire.
