About The Position
The Fire Department Paramedic provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) care during emergency incidents. This role responds to medical emergencies, trauma situations, hazardous incidents, and public safety events while working closely with firefighters, EMTs, hospitals, and law enforcement agencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Paramedic Certification.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS Certifications.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of EMS experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency medical treatment and interventions.
- Administer medications and perform advanced airway management.
- Monitor and assess critically ill or injured patients.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely.
- Complete detailed patient care documentation.
- Maintain ALS equipment and medications.
- Participate in emergency preparedness training.
- Assist with fire department operations as assigned.
