About The Position

The City of Alliance is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and visionary leader to serve as its next Fire Chief. This executive leadership position oversees a combination fire and EMS department providing fire suppression and prevention, emergency medical services, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and emergency management services to Alliance and the surrounding area. The Alliance Fire Department is a combination organization consisting of 5 career and 46 volunteer personnel and works closely with the Alliance Rural Fire Protection District to provide high-quality emergency response services. The department responds to more than 1,000 calls annually and plays a critical role in protecting the lives and property of residents throughout the region. Qualified candidates should possess progressively responsible fire service leadership experience, strong administrative and financial management skills, and a demonstrated commitment to developing personnel, fostering partnerships, and serving the community.
