About The Position

Guardian Fire Protection Services is currently hiring Apprentices for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in-demand trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician. We are looking for hard-working and hands-on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long-term career that with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license with 3 or less points.
• Three years of licensed driving experience.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shifts when needed.
• Comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Learn and study about different alarm systems to become certified.
• Communicate well with customers, explaining work being done and necessary repairs.
• Write detailed service reports.
• Keep track of service tickets and process required documents for each service performed.
