About The Position

Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking motivated individuals to train as Fire Alarm Service Technicians in their Sanford (Orlando) location. This role is for mechanically inclined individuals eager to build a rewarding career in the vital fire protection industry. As a Trainee/Apprentice Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in fire protection, learning to service, repair, and install fire alarm systems and other essential fire safety equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians. Your responsibilities will include assisting with on-site service calls, developing troubleshooting and programming skills, and mastering proper documentation procedures. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Comfortable working outside.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
• Strong knowledge of Electronics, tools, equipment, and installation procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Willingness to go through apprenticeship school as well as state or national certifications.

Responsibilities
