Fire Alarm Service Technician

Requirements
- High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- 2 years applicable field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience includes installation, service and testing of commercial/industrial fire alarm systems and security systems.
- The position drives a company vehicle and must possess the appropriate licenses.
Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm and security devices and related equipment according to industry standards, following blueprints, layouts and building plans.
- Tests systems to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and programmers.
- Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
- Maintain professional, timely communication with customers to assure problem resolution.
- Demonstrates systems for customers and explains details, such as causes of false alarms.
- Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
- Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform all activities according to safety requirements.
