About The Position

Koorsen is hiring a Fire Alarm Service Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. The technician services, maintains, and troubleshoots fire alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality, identifies and repairs system problems, and helps customers understand how their systems work. The role requires professional interaction with customers, vendors, and coworkers; compliance with safety regulations and company policies; and a willingness to continue learning. Additional duties may be assigned by management. Salary is $19–$40 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience with commercial fire alarm systems.
Ability to troubleshoot ground faults, open circuits, and short circuits in addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with electronic testing devices.
Pass drug and background screenings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

NICET II, III, or IV certification.
Fire life safety, low-voltage, or security experience.
Fire alarm manufacturer certifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of IT functionality.
