About The Position

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more. We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position. Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet. Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets. Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets. Role Roadmap We are building the financial plumbing of a next-generation exchange. As a Financial Operations Associate, you will be an early member of Kalshi’s Finance team. Our participants include retail customers, market makers and hedge funds, and institutional traders. The Financial Operations team ensures that every dollar entering and leaving the Exchange, the Clearing Organization, and all connected systems is accurately tracked, reconciled, and understood. We are scaling quickly, which means your role will grow with the company. You will begin by owning core financial processes and evolve into owning systems, strategy, and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience post-graduation
  • Experience within a financial exchange, clearing organization, or high-volume payment processor

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Clear communication skills and effectiveness working cross-functionally with teams like risk, compliance, product and engineering
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • An entrepreneurial mindset paired with a collaborative approach

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with DeFi or crypto infrastructure, including on-chain settlement, stablecoin/payment rails, custodial or non-custodial wallets, smart contracts, or blockchain-based reconciliation workflows

Responsibilities

  • Own the heartbeat of our financial system, monitoring and reconciling high-volume transaction flows across venues, clearing partners, and payment rails
  • Produce daily financial snapshot reports that summarize activity and support operational decision-making
  • Continuously refine financial processes for reliability, speed, and regulatory alignment
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations relevant to exchanges, clearing organizations, and payment flows
  • If comfortable, own and optimize crypto payment flows, including stablecoin transfers, on-chain settlement tracking, wallet reconciliations, and bridging digital asset activity into our core financial systems
