Requirements

• Need to have working experience on Big Query for Cost and Slot Consumption
• Should have ability to tune BigQuery SQLs to address shuffle issue leading to slot overuse
• Should be able to support defining strategy for cost effective and efficient Biq Query Data consumption

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize Google Cloud Platform GCP costs and resource utilization by leveraging FinOps tools such as Apptio Cloudability and cloud cost management dashboards
• Configure and maintain Grafana dashboards and report solutions to visualize GCP cloud data including usage metrics cost trends performance indicators and operational insights and understand plugins
• Understand GCP APIs such Cloud Asset Inventory BigQuery informationschema
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to implement cost governance policies tagging strategies and resource optimization practices aligned with FinOps best practices
• Develop automated reporting and monitoring solutions to provide visibility into cloud spend budget utilization and anomaly detection for proactive cost management
