About The Position

Cloud investments deliver the greatest value when organizations understand what they are spending, why they are spending it, and how those investments support mission priorities. As a FinOps Cloud Architect, you’ll help bring together cloud engineering, financial operations, data, and reporting to improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the cloud environment. In this role, you’ll work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) cost and usage data to support allocation models, chargeback and showback, budgeting, forecasting, optimization, reporting, and governance. You’ll help build the dashboards, data integrations, and automated capabilities that allow leaders to make informed decisions about cloud resources and investments. You’ll collaborate with finance, procurement, program, cloud, cybersecurity, application, Oracle, and customer stakeholders to translate technical and financial objectives into practical solutions. Requirements

8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, FinOps, cloud architecture, data analytics, or financial operations
Experience integrating commercial cloud environments with financial management, cost accounting, reporting, or business intelligence services
Experience designing, deploying, securing, and operating OCI solutions
Experience implementing FinOps capabilities, including cost allocation, chargeback and showback, budgeting, forecasting, optimization, and consumption reporting
Experience configuring OCI compartments, tagging and cost tracking tags, budgets, usage reports, cost analysis, and billing exports
Experience designing cost data integrations with reporting, financial management, data warehouse, or business intelligence platforms
Experience transforming, validating, reconciling, and analyzing cloud billing and usage data for reporting, forecasting, dashboards, alerts, and anomaly detection
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization practices, secure financial data sharing, least privilege access, audit logging, and security and governance requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle Analytics, Oracle Fusion Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms
Experience integrating cloud cost data with financial, procurement, contract management, or budgeting systems
Experience using OCI usage and cost reporting APIs, SQL, data pipelines, or Python to automate reporting
Experience supporting financial data governance, audit readiness, reconciliation, internal controls, or remediation tracking in a government or regulated environment
Architecture, Security, Data Management, or Cloud Operations Associate or Professional-level OCI Certification
FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner or similar Cloud Financial Management Certification

Responsibilities

Integrate commercial cloud environments with financial management, cost accounting, reporting, and business intelligence services.
Implement FinOps capabilities, including cost allocation, chargeback and showback, budgeting, forecasting, optimization, and consumption reporting.
Configure OCI compartments, tagging and cost tracking tags, budgets, usage reports, cost analysis, and billing exports.
Design cost data integrations with enterprise reporting, financial management, data warehouse, and business intelligence platforms.
Define cost allocation models that map OCI consumption to organizations, programs, projects, applications, environments, contracts, and other reporting dimensions.
Transform, validate, reconcile, and analyze cloud billing and usage data to support automated reporting, dashboards, alerts, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
Apply rightsizing, scheduling, autoscaling, storage lifecycle management, license optimization, discount utilization, idle-resource identification, and other cost governance practices.
Support secure financial data sharing, least privilege access, auditability, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
