About The Position

The Finishing Trainer will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various finishing machines to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. The Finishing Trainer will also be responsible for training other employees in the same area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to distinguish between colors for quality control purposes.
Basic mechanical skills and strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills required to follow job instructions, complete documentation, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, diagrams, and production specs.
Good math and measurement skills (e.g., using a ruler or caliper)
Ability to stand, lift, and move materials for extended periods (up to 50 lbs)
Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
Ability to provide engaging and technical training to other employees
Candidates must be 18 years old to work for Cartamundi.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating finishing machinery preferred, especially foil stamping.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor machines including foil stamper, die cutter, folder gluer, and laminator according to job specifications.
Make decisions on methods to foil jobs, load and maintain supply of cards, file samples of production material and complete production records (time sheets, job jackets, etc.)
Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
Assist with machine changeovers and routine preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues or escalate to maintenance when needed.
Maintain clean and organized work area; follow all safety and housekeeping protocols.
Perform quality checks during and after production runs to ensure product meets standards.
Produces work in accordance with established quality assurance guidelines.
Complete required production paperwork and logs accurately and timely.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status, issues and delays.
Ability to train other employees on all subjects listed above.
