Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32” and a metric ruler to 1mm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects rolls of printed products to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Operates equipment to final finish products, and prepares the product for shipping.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
  • Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
  • Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
  • Must have the ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1 mm.
  • Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment.
  • Sets up and operates a variety of equipment to rewind, slit and inspect products or to cut products as per customer specifications and plant standards so they are ready for packing and shipping.
  • Responsible for removing and replacing defective products; discusses with supervisor.
  • Splices rolls and rewinds if needed.
  • Reads, understands, and follows work instructions, in conjunction with current departmental policies.
  • Works efficiently and effectively to meet schedules and ship dates.
  • Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assists in packing, as needed.
  • Operates hand tools and hand trucks.
  • Must be able to work independently, without assistance.
