About The Position

Avery Dennison is hiring a Finishing Operator for its Finishing Department. The operator performs equipment setups and changeovers, runs production orders to product specifications, conducts quality checks, handles materials, records operating metrics, and works with team members to support safe and efficient manufacturing. The position is on 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 11:45 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The starting hiring rate is $25.09 per hour, plus a $2 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read specifications and follow standard operating procedures.
• Comfort learning software.
• Commitment to safety rules, peer collaboration, and high quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machine setups and changeovers and run production orders according to product specifications.
• Inspect finished goods, monitor tolerances, and investigate root causes of equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Safely operate a tow motor or forklift to move packaging and finishing supplies, and complete inventory transactions.
• Record operating metrics in MFG Pro, perform 5S audits, and participate in team problem-solving.
• Communicate effectively across shifts and assist with peer training.
