About The Position

The Finishing Operator monitors machine operation and evaluates product quality to help ensure product safety and conformance with established standards. The role includes checking product counts, identifying and reporting nonconformities or food safety and quality concerns, documenting machine performance, and preparing shift handoff paperwork. The operator also supports packaging and shipping preparation, maintains a clean and safe work area, and performs duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product safety and quality while performing assigned duties.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected in storage boxes and counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks after machine restarts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product for quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers; un-jam assemblers as needed.
• Tape boxes shut, label them, and stack them for shipment.
• Prepare end-of-shift paperwork for the following shift, noting problems or exceptions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including sweeping, cleaning, and sorting as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor.
