About The Position
The Finishing Operator monitors machine operation and performs product quality, packaging, documentation, and housekeeping duties. The role has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality while performing assigned work, and all duties must be carried out in accordance with safety rules and procedures. The position is on C team, with a listed schedule of 6:30 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. The description outlines the general nature and level of the work and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Employees may be assigned other job-related duties by their supervisor. Job requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. Continued employment is at-will. Responsibilities
- Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and counted correctly.
- Pull shots for quality checks following machine restarts or as needed.
- Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
- Evaluate product quality and conformance with established standards.
- Report food safety and quality problems or concerns.
- Evaluate and document machine performance.
- Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers.
- Un-jam assemblers as needed.
- Tape boxes shut, label them, and stack them for shipment.
- Prepare end-of-shift paperwork for the following shift, noting problems or exceptions.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
- Perform duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
