About The Position

As a Finishing Operator at Central Moloney's Panama City, FL facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring every transformer meets quality and performance standards. Your responsibilities will include applying finishing decals, stencils, and hardware according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and customer requirements. You will also be responsible for painting semi-conductive coating, applying epoxy shields and patching, and performing various operations such as sawing, cleaning, degating, drilling, and deflashing. A key part of this role is inspecting completed products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards before shipping, packing parts for shipment, and constructing shipping crates. You will accurately record production data and operational information, follow written process procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Supporting the team in meeting daily production goals and performing other assigned duties are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (1st shift)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including extended standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset
  • Willingness to undergo background check, drug test, and physical

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • 1-year previous experience in quality control/inspection or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or related role preferred
  • Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment)
  • Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Apply finishing decals, stencils, and hardware to transformers in accordance with engineering drawings, bills of materials, and customer specifications
  • Paint semi-conductive coating, apply epoxy shields and patching
  • Perform sawing, cleaning, degating, drilling, and deflashing operations
  • Inspect completed products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards before shipping
  • Pack parts for shipment and construct shipping crates as needed
  • Record production data and operational information accurately
  • Follow written process procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times
  • Support the team in meeting daily production goals
