About The Position

The Dryer Operator plays a major role in the final finishing stage of production of Press fabrics for use in the pulp and paper industry. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of a Finishing Operator.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the ability to assist in loading & unloading fabrics with a weight range of 40 –600 kilos at the Dryers & other finishing equipment.
Read and comprehend sales orders and manufacturing instructions
Must be able to safely operate all equipment in the Finishing department, including but not limited to dryers, perches and blue line after training.
Operate Forklift
Able to load/unload heavy fabrics when necessary
Must be cautious, quality minded, and able to recognize problems immediately
Perform other duties as required by supervision.
Cross-train to other processes
Maintains work area/environment
