About The Position

Performs a variety of activities involved in finishing, packaging, and slitting papers, films, and other materials according to established procedures and customer requirements. Assists the Finishing Operator and Finishing Assistant in maintaining a consistent flow of finishing activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use basic computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve packaging supplies and notify the Shift Leader of shortages or inadequate inventories.
• Follow packaging instructions and notify the Shift Leader of discrepancies in packaging procedures or specifications.
• Verify proper labeling.
• Assist in working toward productivity and waste-reduction standards.
• Assist with machine changeovers, set-ups, and clean-ups.
• Perform other machine positions as circumstances require and training permits.
• Report faulty operations and defective materials to the Shift Leader.
• Follow and assist the crew in following environmental, safety, and housekeeping procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
