About The Position

This position is responsible for performing any job duties required in the finish/assembly area. Jobs include coiling, packing, reel making, tire wrapping, and mandrel process. The role involves working safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately. The Finisher must be capable of following standard work requirements for assembly, packaging, processing, and inspection of the final product, performing quality inspections, and ensuring all documents and labels are completed properly. The position also requires fostering professionalism with associates and customers, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Good math, reading and writing skills
  • Able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
  • Basic computer skills
  • Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks
  • Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment and hoist, if needed
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must successfully complete Pre-employment screening
  • U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other appropriate status is required for certain positions, in accord with U.S. import & export regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform any job duties required in the finish/assembly area, including coiling, packing, reel making, tire wrapping, and mandrel process.
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, eliminating risk to health and the environment.
  • Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities, and activities that present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.
  • Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
  • Follow and meet standard work requirements for assembly, packaging, processing, and inspection of final product.
  • Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.
  • Ensure all required documents are properly completed.
  • Ensure all packages and disks are labeled properly.
  • Ensure final product meets customer requirements.
  • Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams) and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
  • Participate on project teams, star point teams and kaizen events when needed.
  • Attend and participate in all training opportunities required to develop in the role.
