About The Position
Hexcel is currently seeking a Finisher - 2nd Shift for our Amesbury, MA location. The Finisher is responsible for the final touches on a variety of products. They clean, debur, mark and prepare packaging for QA inspection. Finishers work in a team environment to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.
- Must have good attention to detail and be able to follow written directions
- Must have the ability to stand 8 hrs. per day
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- U.S. citizens only due to U.S. federal government contracts
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Remove excess material from products using sanders, grinders, or other tools
- Inspect products for defects or imperfections and report any issues to supervisors/leads
- Package finished products according to specific instructions and quality standards
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production quotas are achieved
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Parts are periodically measured with micrometers and gauges. Deburring tools are used to clean until any flaws are corrected
- Proactively participate in our safety-first culture
- Accurately record manufacturing data using provided software
