About The Position

Associates will perform all safety checks at the start of their shift, including but not limited to all cranes and tools, and complete the necessary documentation. Associates will continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift. This role involves utilizing proper packaging techniques according to cleaning and packaging specifications, marking or applying proper identification to complete products prior to shipping, and distributing completed products to stock or loading products for transport. The position requires inspection of finalized products for visual defects and completion of all applicable paperwork. Associates will use power and hand tools for the fabrication of pallets and other packaging assemblies, and must be able to understand and perform banding and palletizing of all product before shipment. Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts is required, along with successful completion of any related training or safety programs. The role demands the ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations, and to read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications. This job may require handling or moving of hazardous waste and adherence to all ITAR-specific job standards and training, including protecting and safeguarding ITAR-sensitive information and work product. Associates must immediately notify Supervisor/Manager, Human Resources, Legal, or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of any known or suspected unauthorized disclosure, release of, or access to protected ITAR content.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
Basic understanding of computers.
Reading, writing, and simple math skills.
Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to “protected data” occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
