About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They offer leading-edge support from prototype to production and have locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA, with multiple shift opportunities. As a Finisher 3, you will deburr, sand, and clean parts on complex new parts and assist in developing new processes for various materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Extensive knowledge of abrasive(s) progression required to achieve specific surface finishes
Nice To Haves
- Previous finishing experience of five to seven years preferred
Responsibilities
- Deburr, sand, and clean parts on the most complex proven, new parts.
- Assist in the development of new processes on various materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with little or no direction.
- Utilize shop paper procedure including updates, signatures and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
- Operate a variety of pneumatic or electric power finishing tools such but not limited to orbital sander, DA sander, flappers and die grinders.
