About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall finishing operation of furniture, including repair, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding and distressing. The role involves inspecting and repairing high-end quality furniture to ensure it is free from defects and that the color match is correct. The Finisher will be responsible for all facets of the wood finishing process, including repair, burn-ins, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding, and destressing. They will use a variety of machines, including a rub machine and pallet jack, as well as numerous hand tools. The employee must follow all safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous finishing experience a plus.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting throughout the day.
• Frequent repetitive motions requiring grasping, pushing/pulling and fine hand manipulation.
• Occasional reaching at or below shoulder level may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; rarely up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and repairing high-end quality furniture to ensure it is free from defects.
• Ensuring color match is correct.
• Performing all facets of the wood finishing process including repair, burn-ins, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding, and destressing.
• Operating a variety of machines including but not limited to rub machine & pallet jack.
• Operating numerous hand tools.
• Following all safety policies and procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
