About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They offer leading-edge support from prototype to production and have locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA, with multiple shift opportunities. As a Finisher 1, you will deburr, sand, and clean parts with simple to intermediate complexity on various materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper, following direction from the area Lead or Supervisor. This role involves utilizing shop paper procedures, ensuring accurate router accompaniment for work orders, and operating various pneumatic or electric power finishing tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous finishing experience up to two years
Responsibilities
- Deburr, sand and clean parts on repeat or proven part(s) with simple to intermediate complexity on a various material such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
- Utilize shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
- Operate a variety of pneumatic or electric power finishing tools such but not limited to orbital sander, DA Sander, flappers and die grinders.
