About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations Lead, the Finished Product Packer is responsible for timely and proper packaging of finished product and maintaining a clean workspace. The role involves safe work practices, operating packaging and processing equipment and a forklift, handling materials, preparing shipment samples and documentation, and ensuring products are packed and labeled correctly without contamination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or pass a pre-employment screening assessment.
• Ability to frequently lift, constantly stand, frequently reach overhead, and constantly use hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, follow plant rules, and report near misses and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Monitor equipment condition and communicate deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Pack 25 kg (55 lb) bags, boxes, and drums.
• Operate a forklift.
• Operate packing, milling, and grinding equipment.
• Complete pack-out sheets and prepare samples for pre-shipment.
• Manage materials to and from warehouses.
• Recognize different products and know how to pack boxes, drums, and bags and verify quantities.
• Label products and packaging correctly.
• Identify the appropriate pallets for products.
• Prevent contamination and foreign objects from entering customer products or packaging.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
