About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow its loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team by recruiting for a Finished Goods Handler to join its team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Week Day Shift. This candidate will be responsible for moving product, pulling orders, loading trailers, and coordinating trailer movement with local and outlying facilities. This position works Monday - Thursday 5:25 AM - 5:25 PM.

Requirements

  • Forklift certification required, or ability to successfully obtain certification
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot automated robotic equipment
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and equipment
  • Willingness to cross train and support multiple operational areas
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle production materials as needed
  • Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and GMP compliance
  • Requires basic math and reading skills.
  • Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training.
  • The ability to prioritize workload to satisfy all production requirements.
  • Requires a forklift operator’s license.
  • Requires the ability to operate a hand jack and life up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Transport, load, and unload bulk and finished product within the new robotics area
  • Prepare robotics equipment for production and make operational adjustments based on production schedules
  • Program, troubleshoot, and adjust robotic equipment to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Assist with shrink wrapping responsibilities for both repack and non-repack items within Plant 3
  • Provide relief coverage for dumpers and other forklift operators as needed
  • Communicate production issues, concerns, and improvement opportunities to leadership
  • Use printers to apply accurate codes, pricing, and labels to bags and cases
  • Perform routine quality checks on bags, including weight, code date, pricing, and package integrity
  • Complete all manufacturing paperwork, system entries, and production documentation accurately and timely
  • Utilize Redzone for communication, production tracking, and operational updates
  • Develop proficiency within the D365 system and support operational data entry functions
  • Cross train in additional finished goods and Plant 3 operational responsibilities
  • Work proactively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety, quality, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times
