About The Position

The Finish Stager is responsible for receiving cases from the clean-up area and relocating them to the finish staging area according to the required finish color. This role involves daily tracking of off-schedule items to assist the supervisor in maintaining correct finish levels and checking with the clean-up area periodically for late items that need to be staged for the next finishing run. The position also includes loading and unloading the line, processing special order cases, scanning finishing room tickets after completion, and organizing strike-off panels for the finish line-up. Additional tasks may include loading the line by pulling material from the Whitewood Storage area, screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets, observing plant safety rules, and maintaining a clean work area with a focus on quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in finish staging of high quality casegoods furniture
Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop and bend over the course of 8 hours.
Must be able to lift drawers as needed.
Must be able to pull large cases in and out of staging area.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Receive cases from clean up and relocate to finish staging area by required finish color.
Daily tracking of off schedule to help supervisor maintain correct finish levels.
Check with clean up area periodically during the day for late items that need to be staged for next finish run.
Load and unload the line.
Responsible for bleaching and processing special order cases.
Scan finishing room tickets after completion.
Organize strike off panel finished and put in the finish line up.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor such as loading the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order, and occasionally screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets.
Observes plant safety rules.
Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
