Finish Room Sprayer/Catcher - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Sprayer applies finish to products and recognizes any blemishes in the finish when completed. The position may also sand parts as necessary. This role operates air hand sprayers to apply finish on edges and parts according to QA standards, ensuring an even topcoat on a variety of products. The individual adheres to all OSHA standards when operating equipment, cleans spray guns and tips, and notifies maintenance or submits requests for issues with the ventilation system or spray tools. They also develop or revise standard working practices with leads and/or supervisors, maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and identify blemishes or imperfections, coordinating with supervisors/QA for resolution. Cleaning the area and machine is required upon completion of the shift or periodically. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Additional functions include conducting maintenance and preventative maintenance on spray equipment, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner.
- Ability to learn fourth Shift basics.
Nice To Haves
- Basic spray-painting knowledge a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude a plus.
- May be required to work with or train new employees.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities

- Cleans all spray guns and tips as required.
- Notifies maintenance or puts in a maintenance request when ventilation system or spray tools issues arise.
- Develops or revises standard working practices with lead and/or supervisor.
- Maintains safety and housekeeping standards in the area while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Identifies any blemishes or imperfections in parts and coordinates with Supervisor/ QA regarding resolution.
- Cleans the area and machine upon completion of shift or periodically if necessary.
- Notifies maintenance or puts in a maintenance request when needed.
- Conducts maintenance and preventative maintenance on spray equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
