About The Position
As a Fine Jewelry Sales Colleague, you provide outstanding customer service in Macy’s Fine Jewelry and Watch Complex, creating welcoming, comfortable, and valued shopping experiences. You use knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and luxury brands to educate customers and help them select items suited to their tastes, preferences, and budgets. You build lasting client relationships through consultative selling, genuine hospitality, and use of the clientele program. You work toward sales goals while promoting loyalty and warranty programs, supporting inventory and fulfillment activities, and assisting with special events. You help ensure merchandise security, accuracy, and presentation, and collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and operational excellence. The role includes maintaining a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor; reviewing goals, new arrivals, trends, and promotions; engaging customers and building relationships; processing, presenting, organizing, storing, and replenishing stock; updating signs and prices; supporting merchandise moves; promoting loyalty benefits; and providing customers with a helpful checkout and closing experience. Colleagues are expected to support teammates, improve their skills, and contribute to individual and store results.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of related experience required.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to provide product recommendations, assist with fittings, and use digital shopping tools.
- Ability to use point-of-sale technology and digital tools effectively.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to talk, move constantly, stand, reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities

- Maintain merchandise security, stock accuracy, asset protection compliance, and an organized, shoppable sales floor.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves.
- Participate in sales events, vendor training, and special events.
- Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to process transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
- Collaborate with teammates and contribute to operational excellence and store results.
