Fine Jewelry Commission Sales Associate - Patrick Henry Mall
About The Position
The Fine Jewelry Commission Sales Associate is the store’s knowledgeable resource for Fine Jewelry, educating customers about products and helping them find items that meet their needs. The associate engages customers, provides product information and service, works toward sales goals, and supports the Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP). The role also includes inventory and merchandise-transfer activities, maintaining an organized sales floor, and supporting company safety, shrink, and performance standards. The position pays $13.00 per hour and offers 1% commission on sales of qualified merchandise and 10% commission on Service and Care plans. Eligible associates may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, term life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. All associates are eligible for a discount on JCPenney merchandise. Holiday and vacation eligibility conditions apply.

- At least 2 years of retail experience.

Responsibilities
- Approach customers in a friendly manner, determine their needs, and help them make product or service decisions.
- Explain key product attributes to generate customer interest and build clientele.
- Meet or exceed sales goals through Fine Jewelry product knowledge and customer service.
- Enthusiastically engage customers in support of the Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP).
- Participate in inventory activities, including annual inventory, cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger work, and RFID scans.
- Participate in Merchandise Transfer Out, Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse, and Defective Merchandise Transfer Out activities.
- Maintain sales-floor recovery processes and a clean, organized store environment.
- Support company shrink and safety initiatives.
- Meet established performance standards, including standards for iCAP, product and service sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
