About The Position

Warehouse Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Financial Staff Accountant in Mount Vernon, IN. This role involves managing various financial areas, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end closing and financial statement preparation. The accountant will also analyze cost center profitability, track budget differences, record asset purchases for depreciation and analysis, and provide financial analysis support to management. Additional duties include reconciling bank accounts, filing tax forms, meeting reporting deadlines, and preparing documents for external auditors. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

Preparing journal entries
Reconciling general ledger accounts
Assist in month end closing
Assist in preparation of financial statements
Analyzing and identifying issues with cost center profitability
Preparing cost center budgets and tracking differences with actual cost
Recording asset purchases for depreciation, asset tracking and return on asset analysis
Providing financial analysis help to management
Reconcile bank accounts and other various accounts monthly
Files tax forms with local government agencies, federal and state
Meet reporting deadlines monthly
Prepare documents for external auditors
