About The Position

Provides technical and administrative support for district Financial Services. Focus would be on one of the following overall functions: accounting, payroll, budget, or compliance (SpEd, Grants). Performs routine fiscal transactions, maintains records, processes data, prepares reports, and assists staff and departments to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations in accordance with district procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of clerical, payroll, accounting, budget, compliance, or financial office experience
  • Experience working with data systems or reporting tools
  • Experience in a K–12 or public-sector environment

Responsibilities

  • Process routine financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, deposits, payroll changes, deductions, and budget transfers.
  • Enter, update, and maintain financial, payroll, budget, vendor, and employee data in district systems.
  • Maintain files, records, documentation, and records retention systems for assigned functions.
  • Reconcile routine accounts, balances, and transactions; identify and report discrepancies.
  • Review time records, leave balances, and other supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare routine financial, payroll, budget, and compliance reports.
  • Assist with purchase orders, payment documentation, forms, and other departmental processes.
  • Track deadlines, required submissions, and recurring workflow schedules.
  • Support audits, reviews, budget development activities, and transparency reporting as assigned.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from employees, vendors, schools, departments, and the public.
  • Provide customer service and general office support to Financial Services staff.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Non-Recurring Pay: 8% of base salary in Non-Recurring Pay (distributed as 4% on November paycheck and 4 % on May paycheck).
