This is who we are, our culture. As the Financial Solutions Lead, you will sit at the critical intersection of product infrastructure, core finance operations, and go-to-market strategy. You will serve as the architect for our financial data pipelines, ensuring accuracy from transaction capture to ledger posting, while acting as the bridge between our finance and engineering teams. You will own the product roadmap for our internal financial tooling, automating manual workflows, maintaining rigorous data integrity, and translating complex financial needs into scalable, automated technical solutions that support our growth and product innovation. The Financial Solutions Lead will be required to travel to our HQ in Marlborough MA on occasion. Success in this role is defined by the stability and scalability of our financial systems. You will have succeeded when our financial data pipelines operate with near-perfect accuracy, our manual workflows are replaced by automated, auditable systems, and our commercial teams are empowered by clear, high-value financial solutions. Ultimately, you will be measured by your ability to create a "ledger you can trust," driving smarter commercial decisions while continuously evolving our financial product roadmap to meet the changing demands of our business.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with modern payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Brex, or comparable virtual card/processing rails).
  • Strong foundational understanding of core corporate finance concepts—including B2B billing, accounting reconciliation, lines of credit, and cash flow dynamics.
  • Past experience directly partnering with or supporting commercial Sales/Account Management teams in a B2B or enterprise environment.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex financial/technical infrastructure into simple, high-value value propositions for non-technical corporate clients.
  • Strong prioritization and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment, with the ability to effectively balance internal product development against immediate commercial demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to own solutions end-to-end, from initial technical architecture design through to successful commercial delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience specifically within fintech, spend management, corporate card issuing, or embedded finance.
  • Jira, Confluence, proficiency with project management/road mapping software, and Google Workspace (GSuite).
  • Ability to communicate in standard business English both written and spoken.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end architecture and integrity of financial data pipelines, ensuring all transactions from payment partners (e.g., Stripe, Brex, Revolut) are accurately captured, validated, and reconciled in the ERP.
  • Oversee the configuration and posting logic within our ERP (e.g., Unit4), ensuring general ledger accuracy and timely financial reporting.
  • Establish performance metrics, validation rules, and exception-handling frameworks to maintain system reliability and data security.
  • Partner with engineering to design, automate, and scale financial "middle-layer" workflows, replacing manual processes with robust, auditable systems.
  • Act as the primary bridge between finance and engineering teams, translating accounting requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Own and drive the financial product roadmap to align technical infrastructure with company objectives.
  • Provide commercial input by translating complex financial and operational mechanics into quantifiable benefits for sales and marketing, serving as the source of truth for our financial products.
  • Proactively collaborate with business development and program management teams to align technical infrastructure with commercial objectives.
  • Act as a sales engineer during high-stakes client engagements, translating internal product capabilities into bespoke financial solutions for prospective partners.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across KYC, AML, credit underwriting, and platform security through close collaboration with Compliance and Finance teams.
