The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated training to obtain securities industry licenses, including the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, understanding clients’ financial situations, and providing advice and solutions. Following key development milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking services, investment solutions, and client care. The role includes training, coaching, and structured development through Bank of America’s Academy. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio and may pursue other roles at Bank of America and Merrill.
