At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). Candidates must obtain the SIE within 30 days of hire and the Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. After licensing, advisors learn foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; assessing clients’ complex financial situations; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, they begin working in a financial center to deliver core banking, investment solutions, and client care. Training, tools, and resources are provided throughout the development process. Successful licensed Financial Solutions Advisors Stage I typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Stage II advisors may have opportunities to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, for 40 hours per week. The position is open across the market; the financial center location will be determined by business needs. Training takes place at one financial center, and the role may initially be phone-based until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by law. The listed location is Danville, California. Compensation is $28.85–$33.65 per hour, based on experience, education, and skill set. Pay consists of base salary and is not incentive eligible. The role is benefits eligible.
