Requirements

One (1) year experience in Accounts Payable using an automated computer-based system.
Comprehensive understanding of agency financial and administrative policies and procedures.
Familiarity with generally accepted bookkeeping and accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

Maintain a large, integrated automated accounting and financial management system.
Data entry of complex financial transactions across multiple programs and vendors, with a key focus on processing accounts payable.
Examine invoices, vouchers, and requisitions to ensure their accuracy.
Address and resolve any discrepancies with vendors and agency staff.
Prepare bills for payment.
Enter and proofread account information.
Print and distribute checks.
Reconcile vendor accounts.
Maintain the Accounts Payable database.
Set up new vendors.
Assist with year-end closing by preparing prior year records for offsite storage.
Support the Credentialing and Procurement Coordinator by tracking credentialing applications and maintaining essential files.
