About The Position

The Financial Services Officer helps fulfill First Commerce Credit Union’s vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities by delivering remarkable member service and building meaningful relationships with members and potential members. The role serves as a trusted financial partner, helping members navigate consumer lending, everyday banking, and the credit union’s broader range of solutions.

The officer originates consumer loans, identifies member needs, makes proactive recommendations, and guides members toward informed financial decisions. Success includes delivering an exceptional experience, meeting sales and referral goals, and growing a book of business through relationships inside and outside the financial center. The position also supports loan servicing, balances transactions, promotes self-service tools, and maintains complete and accurate loan files while upholding the credit union’s vision, mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of credit union deposit and loan products, including mortgages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Consistently positive and courteous member service.
• Flexible Monday–Friday schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of loan servicing, processing, collections, or Financial Services Rep I experience. New account experience with cross-selling or at least 1 year of loan origination may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting relationships with members and potential members and provide remarkable member service.
• Help members navigate consumer lending, everyday banking, and First Commerce Credit Union solutions.
• Originate consumer loans and make proactive recommendations based on member needs.
• Interview loan applicants and explain available loan options and terms.
• Approve or deny loans within established guidelines.
• Ensure loan files are complete and accurate and support loan servicing functions.
• Balance transactions and promote self-service tools.
• Meet sales and referral goals and grow a book of business through relationships inside and outside the financial center.
• Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, values, and service standards with professionalism and integrity.
