About The Position

Baton Rouge Telco FCU is seeking a member-focused Financial Services Officer for its Hammond branch. The role supports members with accounts, loans, and credit union products and services through phone, email, in-person, and live chat interactions. The officer helps members identify suitable products, prepares and reviews loan and account documentation, and ensures loan processing complies with credit union policies and legal requirements. The position is full-time, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and no Saturdays required.

Requirements

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, and resolve problems within the officer’s authority.
• Correspond with or interview loan applicants; prepare documents for approval and process approved loan documents for disbursement and filing in compliance with credit union policies and legal requirements.
• Review loans for appropriate insurance on collateral and take action to insure uninsured collateral.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and offer products and services to members.
• Greet members welcomingly and assist with account or credit union information by phone, email, in person, live chat, and other channels.
• Prepare and/or review loan and account documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and take action to improve the department’s operating methods and procedures.
• Direct and receive members’ telephone calls.

• Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
