About The Position

The Financial Services Officer - Bilingual assists members and potential members with their Credit Union financial needs with regard to new accounts, loans, and notary services in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner, both in person and on the phone, following current service model standards. The Financial Services Officer - Bilingual refers members to appropriate credit union personnel for services outside the scope of given responsibility.

Requirements

  • One year or more of customer service and sales experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required with the ability to effectively interact and make recommendations to all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess attention to detail and mathematical ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and reasoning ability required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong customer service orientation is required.
  • Must be able to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

  • One month or more of Lending experience preferred.
  • One year or more of financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists members with all financial transactions - answer questions about products and services, interview members to open, close, and/or maintain accounts and loans, and perform duties as a notary public. Obtains appropriate documentation/signatures and submit accordingly in a timely manner. Responds to requests from other branches and departments to assist with additional language needs.
  • Recognizes and recommends additional products/services that will benefit members’ financial well-being.
  • Promotes and actively participates in any branch promotions and credit union campaigns.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
