About The Position

Texell, named one of the BEST credit unions to work for in the NATION by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Financial Service Specialist! Pay is an hourly base PLUS uncapped monthly commissions. We are looking for someone who loves helping others achieve their financial goals and has a natural ability to refer products and services that best fit member’s needs. Requirements

  • Is experienced in sales!
  • We are seeking someone who is highly motivated and goal oriented who has a desire to meet and exceed monthly sales goals!
  • Can work lobby hours with rotating Saturdays.
  • Has been in their previous positions for 2+ years - job loyalty is important to us!
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, sometimes stressful, environment.
  • Possesses strong communication and listening skills, is assertive, and loves helping others.
  • Has a knack for speaking over the phone (you'll be calling members on leads lists when not assisting members in the lobby).
  • Be proficient with Microsoft 365 products such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Has previous banking or credit union experience (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Open new share accounts such as savings, checking, Certificate of Deposit, and IRA’s.
  • Assist with processing wires, card disputes, and notarizing documents.
  • Educate members on Credit Union products and services that will benefit them financially to help them achieve their goals.
  • Originate both secured and unsecured loans including auto, credit card, and personal loans.
  • Successfully cross-sell additional credit union products and services to members that best suit their financial needs.
  • Call assigned leads lists to solicit new business and lending needs.
  • Assist members with inquiries and resolve account discrepancies as well as proactively identify problems and escalate to supervisors and management.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft 365 products such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Give our members the WOW! service they deserve!
