FCU Community Financial is looking for a team-oriented individual to assist our members in achieving their financial goals as a temporary, full-time Financial Service Representative at our Powell River Branch. Due to its casual nature, this position is ideal for those seeking to gain valuable experience and build their financial literacy while supporting our members and making a difference in their financial journey. This is a full-time, temporary position supporting our Powell River Branch with a minimum guaranteed term of 8 months, with potential extension based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, and or financial industry).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented focus and the ability to multi-task.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Successful relationship-building skills.
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.

Responsibilities

  • Providing an exceptional member experience by proactively engaging with members to understand and meet their immediate day-to-day banking needs by identifying the products and services that will benefit them.
  • Completing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and/or other account transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Transforming the member experience by educating them on our mobile tools and resources.
  • Assisting other team members and completing other duties as assigned.
