About The Position

The Financial Reporting and Cost Accountant performs general accounting activities in one or more areas, including accounts receivable and payable, cost accounting, financial reporting, global financial reporting, internal auditing, inventory control, and payroll. The role supports accurate accounting and reporting in accordance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and SEC requirements, and works with internal departments and external parties to support accounting processes and company objectives. It also contributes to process improvements, ad hoc requests, and special projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
Related experience or training is strongly preferred.
CPA license or desire to obtain a CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general accounting activities in one or more accounting areas, including AR and AP, cost accounting, financial reporting, global financial reporting, internal auditing, inventory control, and payroll.
Complete accounting tasks such as account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
Assist with the company’s internal audit plan.
Perform cost allocation and help develop and enhance inventory systems.
Ensure accounting work and deliverables follow GAAP.
Assist in ensuring financial reports and disclosures comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to support accounting processes and other company objectives.
Identify and implement best practices to improve existing processes and accuracy.
Provide support for ad hoc requests and special projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
