This is fiscal management work of a professional accounting nature involving responsibility for financial reports and data for all Executive Government agencies of the U.S. Virgin islands Government. Financial Reporting Analysts prepare documentation that reflects the government financial standing. The information they compile is issued to internal and external sources and is used to create budgets and conduct audits. They use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to create financial statements, balance sheets while ensuring accurate financial reporting throughout an organization by working closely with various departments and management. Work is performed under the general directions of a higher level supervisor and is reviewed through discussions.
