Your Contribution As an Analyst Accounting, Financial Accounting, you will support critical financial accounting activities that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Newmont's financial records. You will perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, statutory reporting support, and audit-related responsibilities while contributing to strong financial controls and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting accounting close activities and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Understanding of internal controls and audit compliance requirements.
  • Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Mining or extractive industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and BPC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger accounting activities including accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, intercompany accounting, payroll entries, and related journal entries.
  • Complete site royalty calculations and payments.
  • Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support treasury and cash accounting activities.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Execute and maintain SOX controls and compliance activities.
  • Assist with statutory and local reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes.
