About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by retaining and growing customer relationships. You proactively identify customers’ financial goals and needs and recommend appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role offers a welcoming and inclusive branch team environment, where colleagues can share ideas and contribute to the bank and its communities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, business-to-business sales, or military service in administration, contracting, civil affairs, or a similar role.
• Provide fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations and complete additional background check requirements.
• Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking services.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales.
• Acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, a new customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, bank colleagues, and partners.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
• Educate customers on how to optimize their use of online, mobile, and ATM banking.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
