About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by retaining and growing customer relationships. You proactively identify customers’ financial goals and needs and recommend appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role is based in an office and involves customer service, relationship development, banking technology education, and compliance with operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Huntington will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits for this position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales, or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role.
Subject to additional background-check requirements, including providing fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.

Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
Acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, a new-customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, bank colleagues, and partners.
Educate customers and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
Educate customers on how to optimize their use of online, mobile, and ATM banking.
Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
