About The Position

The Financial Programs Trainee role with our Agency offers a chance to grow your skills while supporting important audit work across the Commonwealth. Requirements

Four years of experience in bookkeeping work which included twelve (12) credits in accounting; or A Bachelor's Degree including twelve (12) credits in accounting; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes twelve (12) credits in accounting.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
You must meet the PA residency requirement.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Assist in performing audit steps that align with assignment goals
Download and review subrecipient single audit reports through the Bureau of Accounting and Financial Management portal
Investigate causes of discrepancies and carry out appropriate follow up
Communicate findings and recommendations to subrecipients and other parties
Prepare monitoring and audit reports for review by senior auditors
Monitor corrective action plans and provide guidance for resolving audit findings
