About The Position

This position is within the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) at its Central Office in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves handling DERR’s financial operations, overseeing accounts payable/receivable and purchasing activity, managing the fiscal side of DERR’s grant programs, tracking Level of Effort (LOE) mobilizations, coordinating fiscal management of cost recovery and fee collections, and designing and producing custom financial reports.

Requirements

  • 54 months of experience or training in financial administration.
  • OR completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; AND 30 months of experience or training in financial administration.
  • OR completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; AND 18 months of experience or training in financial administration.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.
  • Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, authorize and approve the divisions’ accounts payable/ receivable and purchasing activity.
  • Oversee the fiscal administration of DERR’s grants programs.
  • Coordinate and track DERR’s Level of Effort (LOE) Mobilizations.
  • Coordinate fiscal management with associated agency and state offices.
  • Design and build custom financial reports in various electronic systems.
