Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Corporate team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, we are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. You will partner closely with business leaders to provide insights, and support financial decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years in FP&A, financial analysis and/or real estate experience
- Experienced in financial modeling and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage large amounts of data and translate it into concise key messages
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled or pursuing a financial designation (CFA, CPA, etc.) would be considered as an asset
Responsibilities
- Assist with the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process
- Develop and maintain financial models to support the stakeholders
- Analyze corporate and business unit results versus budget/forecast/historical and support key month-end and forecast processes
- Partner with other business units to ensure accuracy of key model assumptions
- Assist with preparation of financial presentations and reports for use by management, and board of directors
- Assist in business process automation, such as report automation and other large data analytics.
- Provide ad hoc modeling and analysis as well as other duties as required
