About The Position

The Finance Manager provides financial leadership to the Fiber Group which consists of multiple manufacturing sites in the US. The position reports to the Sr. Finance Director for the US Doors Group.  The Finance Manager will support the business by assisting in monthly accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, and planning for the Fiber plants. This position will develop and enhance financial reporting and analysis of plant operations, provide timely and insightful analysis to the operations team, and assist in deployment of a strong internal control environment across the plants.

Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; manufacturing experience highly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-site financial statement consolidation and intercompany transactions
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP, HFM, OneStream preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides in-depth analysis on weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating variances to Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
  • Effectively communicates results to management and identifies areas of improvement. Maintain strong communication between the plant, finance and operations leadership.
  • Leads financial planning for the group, including annual budgeting, weekly and monthly forecasting, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Coordinates evaluation of capital projects and approval process.
  • Development of plant level cost of sales analysis, including productivity, price-volume-mix analysis and detailed manufacturing cost walks.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations and internal audit to improve the existing internal control environment. Identify areas of improvement and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate between business unit finance and operations leaders to ensure plants are meeting reporting and financial timelines.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other tasks in support of the business unit operations and finance staff as required
